The Dada da Academy in cooperation with the Wiener Art Foundation are pleased to present an exhibition of contemporary art, entitled "Parnassos". The opening will be held at the exhibition hall of Parnassos Literary Society on 7th May at 19:00h.

"Parnassos" exhibition involves mostly young Greek artists with international careers and international artists living and working in Athens. In the words of exhibition curator Stefan Bidner who said: “I am really interested in getting to know better the Athenian art scene, especially now with the crisis and all that which is happening in Greece. I would like to present representatives of the contemporary Greek art community in this building full with history. It's like an art-historical catch up which I find extremely interesting.”

The title Parnassos was chosen for two reasons: firstly in honor of the Parnassos Literary Society (due to celebrate its 150th year anniversary in 3 years from now), and secondly for its metaphorical value - connotations with the Greek word "Mountain" - in relation to the struggle artists sometimes endure while trying to achieve their goals.

The exhibition is organised in cooperation with the Parnassos Literary Society and is supported by the Austrian Embassy in Athens.
